WARS

Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter are an Animal Rescue Shelter Charity based in Worcestershire, providing shelter, medical care and care to abandoned animals who have been mistreated and require urgent care. Their work is highly commendable, so we were honoured when they approached us.

The Challenge

Their existing CMS was extremely difficult, it didn’t provide flexibility and made it difficult for them to make simple changes on their site. With this in mind, they required a website reskin to uplift the aesthetics of the site and required UX changes such as a donation button that linked to their third party PayPal donation form.

It’s also worth noting that this project came with its additional challenges as WARS had previously approached a developer who had already begun building the site, however they decided to part ways being left with an unfinished website. For this reason, this was not a full website project as their budgets did not allow it.

The Brief

Pick up and complete an unfinished website, previously started by other developers, using the PERCH CMS. Ensure changes can be made easily and redesign the existing website, adding additional features.

The Result

Having never used the CMS PERCH, this project tested our abilities. We underwent plenty of learnings and adapted our approach to update the website within the CMS. We were able to edit the website and add additional features, as per the client’s requirements. We also reskinned the website, which greatly improved the design of the site.
